Solution-Focused, Brief Therapy
The SFBT approach acknowledges the past, while staying in the present, to create a desirable future. A typical therapy experience consists of clearly identifying goals, barriers, and practical solutions to what you are wanting to achieve. SFBT interventions focus on using strengths and solutions to create successful outcomes.
SFBT effects are generally attained in six sessions, which is quicker than other therapy modalities. The overall length of treatment varies with each person.
Adult ADHD Assessments & Behavioral Therapy
Dr. Ruffin specializes in diagnosing and providing therapy to adults with ADHD. She helps patients gain control over symptoms that wreak havoc in their life, personally and professionally.
Evidence-based, clinically validated testing is utilized to diagnose adult ADHD.
After an initial consultation, an ADHD evaluation is completed. This includes completing assessments, questionnaires, and an in depth interview. Next, the findings will be reviewed together and personalized recommendations will be provided. These results can be used to create an individualized treatment plan.
Individual & Couples Therapy
SFBT principles are applied to both individual and couples therapy.
A common question: “Do I/we need to be “in crisis” or have “big” issues to benefit from therapy?” The answer is absolutely not. Many individuals and couples find benefits from therapy focused on enrichment, growth, and increased awareness and understanding.
